I created a paper mache pikachu by first, taking newspaper and masking tape and making an oval shape out of it, I then folded some newspaper into a rectangle and I taped it where i wanted his nose and mouth to be, next I took some cardboard and cut out 2 surfboard like shapes for the ears and a lightning bolt shape for the tail. I stuck the tail and ears onto the newspaper by taking bamboo skewers and gluing them in the holes of the corrugated cardboard and made 3 holes in the newspaper where i would glue them in. After that I took plaster paper mache and put 3 layers of that on the pikachu and smoothed it out, Finally I took some yellow acrylic paint and painted the whole thing and used paint markers for the details. I challenged myself by doing something that have not done before. I used a bright yellow paint to paint the figure and I cut jagged lines to make the tail.
I made a hedgehog using a yarn pom pom, wooden knobs, cardboard, paint, and hot glue. It has texture (pom pom) and shape, the studio habit of mind is "I create original art". I came up with the idea on my own and it is completely original. I first took the large pom pom and traced the shape onto a piece of cardboard, I then cut out the shape and used hot glue to attach the pom pom to the cardboard. After that I cut out the middle of a recycled paper drink holder and painted it with a light skin tone colored paint, I proceeded to glue 2 small wooden knobs on for the eyes and one larger one for the nose. I then glued 4 small knobs onto the bottom for little feet.
I made the project above using liquid watercolor, tissue paper, glue, and paint pens. I first took a peice of small watercolor paper and taped it to a piece of masonite
